They base their guide on past sales that have been reported, the market, and also on the premium letter listing. I know that the whole premium letter thing is up for debate but it is a general guide for these types of names. Obviously if you owned car.com or something to that effect it would be worth WAY more than what is listed. 3character.com is a general wholesale guide.
