.Asia, Serious?

I'm not sure what my thoughts are on this one yet but I will certainly pick up a generic name if the price is right.

If you can share your thoughts or any resources you have come across on this extension Im sure there are some domainers that would love to learn a bit more on it.

All these different endings for domain names, in my opinion, is destroying the market. At one time, owning a .com name with a generic name was amazing. Now, not so much since someone can just run along and buy .asia, .us, .uk.co, .whateverthehellyouwant. It's frustrating beyond belief. Personally, having a .com is still great, but I think all these endings are just ruining the market.

Nomar is on a distinguished road
I think .asia will be great for travel names (who said that to me :P)

And I agree that there are coming to much extensions, all commercial bullshit in my eyes...

.com .net .org .info + country codes are enough

I have one name in mind that I think I am going to go for. I will buy one and one only. Anyone know how much they are or when they launch the extension by digging through the web yet?

I don't even think I am going to buy one. There's no point. I'm not from Asia and I don't really like travel sites. Now, if I were to create a travel site, I suppose you are right, Nomar, they would be suitable for that. But, I don't know, I just think there are far too many of these extensions and it is going to ruin the market. But, what do I know? I'm not a domain buyer/seller. I never understood how the business really worked.

Perhaps I will check some .asia names out on 9 october 2007. I've never really traded domains, but when I look at some prices of .com's, I ask myself: "Gosh, why didn't you enter the dot.com hype 5 years ago!"

holiday.asia :-)
