You have no other choice these days.....The domain rates are going high and it appears like a real estate business....I am sure one day all .com domains are going to be sold in 3 digits

I love to watch people on forums say that these people paid too much money for the domain name. What people need to realize is that the person wanted it. Who here owns a pair of 2008 Nike (whatever brand) that costs like $150? They're 150 dollars for a pair of shoes that cost TWO dollars to make. Why are you paying so much? Because you like them. Someone liked that domain name and had a vision for it. They didn't pay too much. They paid what they felt was the right price for it so that when they do create their website, it'll make that return fast and hard.

$40 for a decent name is fairly cheap at this point. I think we will only see domain prices rise as large domain 'brokers' hoard every name they can to increase the value of their domains. The only way to shop this would be for people to stop buying domains second hand, or to limit the price a domain can be sold for. The only way either of these will really happen is if a law is enacted blocking the sale/transfer of domains or limiting their resale price to $10-25. Neither of these is going to happen so domain prices will constantly raise for .com as well as .net/.org. Newer domains will be cheaper but almost useless for big/popular sites so anyone wanting to start a new site will to get .com or lose much of their traffic/PR/etc on the changeover.

$40,250 for MyLook.com

I guess someone wanted it bad enough.

Does anyone want MyWorldBank.com bad enough?

I like hearing stories like this because maybe just maybe I'll get a nice break like this and one of my domains will be wanted so bad they'll pay big for it. I can keep dreaming right?
