Could it be helpful??

A new technique of promoting a website:

Make a game which refers to your business and provide it free on your website.
This will breed new visitors, which will play your game (for an average of 15-40 minutes).
They will inform their friends about it. They will consider your brand.

I do not know from where I heard about it, but I think it is would be useful.

What do you say about this? Is it hard to make a simple computer game from scrap?

It sounds good, but the game has to be worth talking about !

If you have or can create a game like that, you can earn a nice buck I guess.

I don't think its easy to create though! Check out this google search

You might want to have a text based online game, and give users point for refering people to that external links or something...

The idea looks good but it is hard to create one very specific!! Though there are many available, you can choose from there which you think resembles most to your site!!

The idea looks good but the problem is that no one is actually going to try it as they are not ready to take risk at it. Plus the they would consider it as wastage of time and resource.

A quiz type game could work quite well. easy to make and if there are lots of questions, even throw a prize in there, say for the first 50 or so people to complete it.

Recently here in the UK, Five TV's Gadget Show wanted to see what would be the best method of becoming an internet celebrity by issuing a challege to two of it's presenters.
One of them (Suzi Perry) decided to go down the game route while the other (Jason Bradbury) decided to post a video on YouTUBE.

While the game (a simple quiz game) worked well at first, it eventually lost out to the YouTUBE clip as the user base at YouTUBE allowed people to recommend it and to link it to their profiles.
In the end, the clip managed to surge past the game to get 3,260,982 hits compared to only a few thousand for the game.

:] Link :]
