Cuil: A Search Engine to Rival Google

Cuil (an old Irish word for knowledge, which is pronounced "cool")
Ex-google engineers debut's Cuil search engine...remembering "Anna Patterson’s last Internet search engine was so impressive that industry leader Google Inc. bought the technology in 2004 to upgrade its own system." with this new invention this intends to upstage G...a more comprehensive and efficient way to scour the net...she believes though there is no way to prove it yet..that this new SE has the much 3 times at least power in terms of indexing in against G and in any SE...will this outshine and kill Google in coming years? there might be probabilities...

Cuil claims that they are the biggest search engine (for it has billions of indexed pages) but when I've tried to look for some famous sites, some are not yet indexed..I think they still need to polish their system and add some useful search features

The most important difference between Cuil and Google is its ranking system. Rather than assigning priority to pages based on inbound links as Google does , Cuil analyzes the content of Web pages to divine their relevance to a search query. The most striking new idea is the way search results are formatted. Instead of the ten blue links displayed linearly, Cuil makes better use of the space by using columns.
