My mate uses it. I have no idea why. I do think we put too much emphasis on Google as web developers though. Don't they handle less that 50% of global search? Maybe someone can provide a pie chart.

I think google controls close to 50% and in some tv channel it was 52% . . . which is pretty much possible...yahoo comes a distant third in about 20-25% and the live went down to 8-6% and the rest from the others...I dnt know how true this is, but this is what the charts in some tv news channel gave away...

Google have such a big share, and so many people focus exclusively on it they have pretty much ultimate power. A snap of their fingers and your company could potentially die.

Oh... you actually provided a pie chart! lol I'm quite surprised, I thought Google was about 40%, Yahoo about 30% and the rest shared among the others. Shows how much I know! And thanks crimsonc!

Google is all the way to be. I don't think Live stands a chance. And with their banning link command too on which provided good info on backlinks is seriously a big blunder.

Maybe google gets beaten some time, but it would be because everybody uses google to much and they want to type in something different that google in their browsers
