Someone can explain this?

I have a small ugly website called Entourage

The only thing I bought it was because it holds pagerank 4. So I can link to my other websites from there.

Now the thing.

In MSN im at spot # 1 for "entourage season 4"

In Google I am nowhere !!!

Isnt this strange..

Search engines are different.
Just because you are 1st in one doesn't mean you will even be in a different one

Well if you’re not in Google, then you obviously cannot rank number 1 in Google for that site. I think it’s more important to look at why you aren’t in Google. Some questions that might help you find the answer:

1. Are sites listed in Google sending spiders to your site? Have you tried submitting the URL to the add page on Google?

2. How long have you had the domain? If its recent or even old have you tried the un-blacklist request? Often domains are blacklisted and the sellers won't tell you because it would reduce the value of a domain to almost all new webmasters.

3. Are you submitting sitemaps? A sitemap shows Google every page of your site and thus that your site has sufficient unique content it might not have noticed from your front page. It also sets Google looking at all 100 (random number) at once rather than your homepage the first day, and 10 pages the next week, and your full site a few months after that.

When you look at these questions you will generally start to see why you might not be in Google, once you figure that out you can start to look at rankings.

It is in google, but not on the first 50 results... sorry for the confusing part.

I once bought a site that was banned in google, I didn't know, good lesson though. Now I always check.

Where do you need explaining for? MSN/Live is a crappy search engine, but I definitely like it a LOT! The fact is that MSN/Live loves Wordpress blogs, with content. A little bit of keyword spamming, good internal linking and a sitewide link from one other Wordpress will do the trick for me. I rank 10th for mortgage (in Dutch) for a 15 day old blog.

Make sure the internal linking of your blog is fine, and don't worry about the links. Content is really king at Microsoft.

Funny thing, when you search for Adsense in Live, my site ranks number one in the SERPs :P

Yeah ranking good in MSN is damn easy. But for google it takes a lot of time and effort. And recent banning of link command by MSN is making the job less lucrative on MSN. Though one of my site has 3000+ indexed pages in Google but now only around 500 in MSN. strange reversal?
