How do you monetize a high traffic niche site?

My www.pokefarm.com site is realy growing fast. I just updated the forums to vbulletin due to some spam problems.

I was checking my Google stats the other day and between the forums and main blog site I'm looking at 11K page views a day! How can I monetize this niche site???

PS: We just hit our one month birthday!

I might have an idea... what if you get an option where members from the forum can buy things.. like pokeballs or extra power.. and that members can attack each other etc..

so they have to defend and defense cost money !!

I think this is the best way to fully monetize it.. create tools or products in the forum that they can buy... like.. once a month or something..

Maybe you can also put in an eCPM banner.. 11k a day will sure get you some money.. like $ 10 a day.. which is pretty nice..

Put up some CPM banner ads from adbrite as you could make something from them.

yup, nomar has the best ideas. you can also try cafepress or something like that to create your own pokemon merchandise or soemthing...
