please review my new minisite

hey there!
I just wanted to know your opinion my on my new (10 days old) minisite.
I made it cause I saw many are looking for freebies and so on and it can bring me some few adsense bucks so y not?
I designed the icons and the minisite (mostly css) and uploaded it on my site.

It is a mini site hehe.

My eyes hurt because of the purple. Maybe change that color and maybe make a small menu so you can add some more buttons in the future...

Great work to give some value to everyone. I agree thought the colour scheme just needs to be fine tuned slightly.

I don't really like it. The kerning on the title is horrible in FF and it's not very prominent, the page seems really thin, there is just a huge block of text (which I am sooo not going to read) at the top with adsense above and below (looks like MFA) and the text is horrible to read on that pink background (as mentioned by other people).

Having said all that, the icons themselves look quite nice. Why don't you make it wider and go for a more white design with the image of the buttons at the top. You could then have and a short paragraph of text, then the download links then a larger explanation.

There's no problem with having adsense on there, but remember the people visiting that page are mostly web savvy. With something like that you would be better developing something like a WP plugin which makes the buttons appear in the sidebar and/or individual posts and has a little ? "what is this?" link next to it that goes to your site. Therefore you will get PR from the people linking to you, and get SE and clickthrough hits. Then you can maybe but an Adsense block on the page but also advertise your WP skinning services on there and use it as a way to find customers?

The buttons are really nice, thats a great job but I'd have to agree with the colors used especially at the top are horrible.

Remove the purple and make the page title bigger to make it immediately clear what it's for. I'd also suggest widening the page as pixelpruner said.

Another suggestion is to host the images on your site itself and give the code to people, which will give you backlinks, but bandwidth can be a prob. and I dnt know if hotlinking from the images will give you backlinks, someone more knowledgeable should explain this.

That is a great point to widen the page. It would probably make the reading flow better while not having to scroll all the way down the page. Less distracting.

The color kind of hurts the eyes if I stay too long trying to read it. I recommend changing the color ASAP. Too pinkish/purplish for my eyes.
