Is it good to have shoutbox on my website??

I have put a shoutbox on my website on the "Contact Me" page. I added that just to add some interactivity with the visitors of my website. Now they can leave any message on that shoubox and I can talk to them easily.

But is it a good idea to have a shoutbox or not?

Should I keep it there or take it out because I have not seen many websites who have this kind of thing there.

Your current contact me page is good. It's good to give people the option of both filling out a form or using the e-mail address. People with web servers like to fill out forms, but people using e-mail software like Outlook sometimes prefer to send e-mails, so you increase the likelihood of a response by offering both.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "shout box."

I think it's a good idea yo have a shout box on a site especially on a blog to make it more interactive.
