Need Advice on Images for Site

So, for those that know me (which is probably one or two people on this site) they know that I love politics. They know that I love it enough to create a site all about politics. Welcome to Daily Politics. Now, if you go there, you will see that it says "thumbnail" next to the list of articles. I think that adding images to the site would be a really good thing, but I just don't know WHAT.

Now, I'm not very good at graphic design which means I suck. I can't even resize images. Now, I was wondering for some ideas on what kinds of pictures I should get made. I'm thinking things that are more generic so that I can use the image over and over again. However, that's why I am posting. If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it.
