First thing you should do is keyword research. Look for profitable keywords related to the content of your site and after that, you can do seo.

After learn basics of SEO just take a look at your theme related competitor, check their backlink's anchor text, content etc.. after that you can get some idea

I think you are already doing SEO so that only you have linked your site inside the post & Signature, Isn't?
 There are 2 important things. Such as ONSITE SEO & OFF SITE SEO. ONSITE SEO - You have to care about your keywords, meta description and etc, Make sure content is pure and FRESH. OFFSITE SEO - Getting backlinks on the way you have done in your post above, there are various other ways too, Such as blog comments, social bookmarks, article submissions and etc, You can follow those ways and get more backlinks to your site, Then search engines will list your site and will drive more traffic to your site.

On-Page Optimization: title tags, meta tags, heading tags, alt attributes, description, keywords, content, sitemap, robots.txt. Off-Page Optimization: press release, online groups, link exchange, social bookmarking, classified ads, blog commenting, article submission, etc.
