How to manage an unmanaged vps

I`ve two vps accounts, one of them is managed and other one is unmanaged. I`ve bought unmanaged about three days ago and agter all three years of experience with linux i`ve managed to make it work within one day or two with latest php+mysql+mail server+ftp (everything for a good server setup has been made). Just for testing purpose i`ve installed mambo and while setup everything was green

If you want to buy a vps but dont have much money so you better go for unmanaged
