I was watching this interesting video of Guy Kawasaki (55 minutes).

And Yahoo! asked him in the early stage of its start up if Guy wanted to become their CEO

Back at that time Yahoo! was small and not very promising (his words), so he declined

Sure, you cannot check the future, it could also fail big time.

I disagree Ramon. It is a great movie and yes, I think that everyone should listen to it, but no, I don't think it gives any great tips about starting websites. The main tip in there is that you need to create something GOOD for the customer. That isn't a website or a company or a new shoe or any of that. It's something that is GOOD for the customer. Revolutionize something. Take the next curve, as he puts it. This is a good video for motivation, but it won't help you start better websites or any of that. At least, I didn't feel like it would.

Motivation is sometimes all that you need to succeed on the web. If you have the right motivation to work hard, you will find that you are making more money. The thing about the internet is that if you work, you will succeed. If you write more content, more can get indexed, and you can get more people to your site. If you work on getting more links, in the future, you can sell more links to get more money. Motivation is all you need to really get to work on earing money.

motivation, passion, its all the same

No, motivation and passion are two different things. :P Motivation is something that drives you to work harder on something. The thought of earning money can be motivation to drive you to work harder on something. Passion is something you feel strongly for. As you know, I am passionate about science since that is my major in college. That doesn't mean that science motivates me. The thought of becoming a doctor, though, motivates me to work harder in science. :P

The link provides a unique opportunity for us know something about the early stages of yahoo and Guy. It is quite interesting to see the words used by him. So clever. He has not accepted the offer then. Because he did not analyse in a proper way. But man proposes God disposes.

It is very good and inspiring I would call it. I don't know inspiring it could for others. If not great then at least it gives good tips to start websites.
